This painting is inspired by the changes in light and colour when waves reach the shore, and capturing the transparent effects of sunlight on shallow water. This painting will be available on Bluethumb.

These are my paintings from the workshop, painted outside with a great group of artist (September 2019)
Abstract Seascape work in progress, oil paint on canvas. Experimenting with a more abstract style than my usual! It is fun playing with colours and movement! Will post again when complete!
This painting was a combination of a lovely New Zealand view and a monument from the same location.
My job was to combine the two elements to make a pleasing artwork. I was happy with the result! A challenging subject on a large canvas, based on several photos of a beautiful spot near the Murray River.
I am happy with the result! The Lake, (oil on canvas 100 cm x 78 cm) and The Bay (oil on canvas, 61 cm x 61 cm). I painted these lovely subjects on request for my dear friends and now safely delivered. It was a challenge and a pleasure to paint these inspiring views. Now I hope to tackle some more larger canvases.
Two new paintings for upcoming art shows, still need to do the final touches - highlights and details and then a frame to display them. Enjoying the process!.
My painting Ripples and Sunlight sold at the exhibition. Hoping to take part in another group exhibition later this year.
Two day watercolour workshop with Herman Pekel at Mt Tamborine. I enjoyed the challenge of watercolour paitning, so different from my usual oils. You can get some lovely random effects, see the two paintings attached - my efforts of boats and a beach scene.
